About the Organization: It’s something we see every day – children healing because they’re surrounded by their families. And while RMHC may not be able to make the medicine taste better or erase the pain of a much-needed treatment, we can help lessen the burden for nearly nine million families each and every year.
Since 1974, our network of local Chapters have been making children happier and healthier by keeping families together – giving them a place to rest and refresh. A place that feels like home. These programs, tailored to meet the urgent needs of each community, can now be found in more than 62 countries and regions across the globe.
Hearn + Ronald McDonald House of Charities: In 2014, one of Hearn’s proud partners, RBC, launched a social media campaign called #RBCGolf4Kids. The online fundraising strategy invited Team RBC golfers and the public to engage in a fun social media challenge, to help players raise funds for their charity of choice. Hearn, while donning the #RBCHearn hashtag, competed in a series of weekly online challenges to raise money and awareness for the Ronald McDonald House of Charities.
Hearn chose the organization to help the children and families in need at a time when they need it most. Even if it’s just the small stuff, it makes a huge difference to a kids and an entire family’s outlook during the treatment period; providing a relief and knowing there is support there.
In 2015, Hearn and the Ronald McDonald House of Charities raised $20,000 through the #RBCGolf4Kids campaign.
