It was a great week not only for David Hearn but also a fellow countryman at the PGA Tour’s Sanderson Farms Championship in Jackson, Miss.
Playing at the Country Club of Jackson, Hearn wound up tied for 14th. The Brantford Golf and Country Club member shot rounds of 69, 72, 71 and 67 to finish at nine-under-par.
While Hearn’s earnings were not known at press time, he is now 46th on the FedEx Cup standings.
Canadian Nick Taylor won the tournament with a 16-under-par total. The Winnipeg native shot rounds of 67, 69, 70 and 66 to finish two shots ahead of Americans Boo Weekley and Jason Bohn.
Hearn is scheduled to play in the PGA Tour’s OHL Classic at Mayakoba in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, this week. He will then be off until the new year.
