Brantford’s David Hearn is tied for 29th after the opening round of the PGA Tour’s OHL Classic at Mayakoba in Playa del Carmen, Mex.
Hearn opened with a three-under-par round of 68 that included four birdies, 13 pars and a bogey.
Six players are tied for the lead after each shot opening round 65s.
Hearn is scheduled to tee off at 6:55 a.m. local time (7:55 a.m. eastern) on Friday for the second round.
Hearn moved up four spots in the world rankings last week, climbing to 114th after his tied for 14th result last week at the Sanderson Farms Championship.
